This styled shoot turned out to be so amazing and SO much fun! It took place at the beautiful Bridlewood of Madison wedding venue! It is one of my favorite venues in the Jackson, MS area, if not all of Mississippi! I knew from the start that I wanted a peach theme for this shoot. Working with Rachel from Posh Design Shoppe, we formed an amazing team of vendors! I sent them all my idea board and everything fell into place from there for this southern, vintage styled shoot! I really can't say enough about this amazing team! I was a tad bit stressed, but they helped make it run so smoothly! This became so much more than just a styled shoot, and let me tell you why!
I asked my friend, Brittany, and her boyfriend, Jordan, to model for the shoot. Brittany is one of the sweetest and most genuine people that I've ever met. She is such an amazing friend and I was so excited to have her be a part of this shoot! Brittany and Jordan have been together for 9 years now. Their relationship started in high school and the rest is history!! When I asked them to model, Jordan was planning a proposal. And this shoot just so happened to be the perfect setting to propose! Brittany was definitely hoping it would happen soon, but she had NO idea that it would happen like this. After a lot of planning and a lot of sneaking around, the proposal was perfect!! Everyone was in on the secret! Brittany was so caught off guard and so excited! (See pictures below!) I'm so happy for my sweet friends, and I'm so thankful to have been a part of this. This was my first time leading a styled shoot, but definitely not my last!
I am beyond grateful that the Lord held off the rain. I am also SO thankful for my friends and family who have encouraged me and cheered me on since going full time. I love my job and the opportunities it gives me to be creative and push myself.
Check out all of our amazing vendors!

THIS IS WHERE IT HAPPENS!
Brittany was wearing her grandmother's wedding rings for the shoot, which Jordan was planning to propose with. SO we had to find a way to sneak them from her. I told them I needed to take a picture of the rings with the bouquet (acting like I had forgotten to do that), and then sent them ahead to the next location (proposal location!). I then asked to take a few pictures of Jordan by himself. I wanted to get a picture of him holding the bouquet anyway, and this was the perfect opportunity to slip him the ring. I then asked Brittany to come over for a picture, and that's when this magical moment happened!!
It took me a while after that to get Brittany focused enough to take another picture! haha. And you can tell in the rest of the pictures how giddy they are. I just love it!!
See ya in the next blog post!
